Apex Centre Group Exercise Class Descriptions

  • Apex Cycle:

    An intense session of strength, endurance and speed associated with cycling. Apex Centre utilizes Spivi® system which simulates different riding experiences with digital scenery and personal avatars to motivate participants. (All levels)
  • Sweat Box

    : Test your strength, stamina, agility and endurance. This class welcomes all fitness levels and will challenge each individual. (All levels)
  • INSANITY®: Max interval training cardio class that will push you past your limits. Features athletic / plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training. (Int/Adv)
  • Bootcamp

    : Circuit-style class incorporating strength and cardio for one high-impact workout. (All levels)
  • Strength Circuit

    : A total body workout that uses light to moderate weights in repetition to tone and shape your body. (All levels)
  • Turbo Kick™

    : Intense kickboxing + dance moves = Turbokick. The ultimate cardio challenge that is high energy and set to motivating music to enhance the fun factor. (All levels)
  • Zumba®

    : Featuring exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. (All levels)
  • Zumba® Toning:

    Learn how to use lightweights to enhance rhythm and tone all the target zones, including arms, abs and thighs. (All levels)
  • Strong by Zumba™

    : Combines high intensity interval training with the science of Synced Music Motivation. (All levels)
  • Hip-hop:

    A fierce fusion of hip-hop and jazzy freestyle moves that kick, dip, bend, and twist your body. (All levels)
  • Country Heat:

    Fire up your metabolism, burn calories, and melt away unwanted pounds while you have fun dancing to the hottest country music around. (All levels) *Starting in March
  • Barre:

    A combination of ballet-inspired full body work, low-weight resistance training and body-weight work for an intense, yet low-impact, toning workout. Moves are done on the mat and at the barre. No dance experience necessary. (All levels)
  • Cize:

    Learn the hottest professionally choreographed dance workouts while working out and losing weight! (All levels)
  • Step:

    Tone up your legs and gluts by moving up, over and around the step. A high strength, yet low impact workout meant to improve coordination by learning choreographed routines. (All levels)
  • Refit:

    Using Cardio Dance movements to tone, improve flexibility, strength and stretching. (All levels)
  • Pop Pilates:

    Total body, mat-based workout challenges individuals to rhythmically flow from one exercise to the next, developing a rock solid core while leaving no muscle untouched. (All levels)
  • Pilates Mat:

    Focus on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. Learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. (All levels)
  • AFA:

    Aged for Action is a low impact fitness class designed with the senior population in mind. It includes cardiovascular, flexibility and strengthening segments that may be performed standing or in a seated position. 
  • Release:

    Release the tension and stress in your muscles and mind. This stretching class works on improving your flexibility and mobility. (All levels)
  • Power Yoga:

    A more challenging and faster paced yoga than traditional yoga classes. (All levels)
  • Yoga:

    Smooth, flowing, and physically exhilarating – Yoga will you relax while improving core strength and functional movement. (All levels)
  • Boga:

    A water workout utilizing traditional gym workouts like burpees, pushups, sit ups but on a special BOGA Fitmat. Achieve a core body workout by practicing controlled instability. (Int/Adv) *Starts in April. Extra payment required. 
  • Water Aerobics:

    A shallow water cardiovascular workout. Low impact, with little choreography, designed to increase the heart rate. Great workout for abdominals, gluts and thighs. (All levels)
