Visitors can enjoy free rides on the McKinney Downtown Area Shuttle

The City of McKinney is proud to introduce the McKinney DASH to the downtown McKinney. The McKinney DASH, Downtown Area Shuttle, will help alleviate downtown parking congestion by offering free rides to downtown visitors’ walking to and from parking lots surrounding the square during peak dining and shopping hours.

The DASH operates for free because of contributions from the McKinney Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB), the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC), and sponsorships from local businesses. The electric car is economically and environmentally savvy with daily operations costing as little as three cents per day.

Operating hours for the McKinney DASH are:

  • Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. through 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, 11 a.m. through 6 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. and 6-10 p.m.

Riding with DASH is free, just give a wave to the drive and hop on or, you can call 469-733-DASH (3274). Operating hours are subject to change without notice. For more information about operating hours, parking and the McKinney DASH, visit the Downtown Parking page.
