The City of McKinney Communications and Marketing Department was honored with a national Savvy award for the 2016 electronic annual report during the annual 3CMA Conference in Anaheim, California.
3CMA, the City-County Communications and Marketing Association, is the leading organization for local government communications. Savvy awards recognize the best strategic marketing and compelling communications programs nationwide. McKinney competed among more than 700 entries from hundreds of cities nationwide.
The city received the Savvy Award for the 2016 Annual Report “The Best is Yet to Come.” This is the third year McKinney has received the prestigious award.
“Our team has demonstrated that local talent can produce highly creative award-winning pieces that compete with the best in the nation. We work hard to promote McKinney and we are thrilled that others in our industry recognize our efforts. We are very proud of this award and happy to accept it on behalf of the community,” said CoCo Good, Director of the McKinney Communications and Marketing Department.
The 2016 Annual Report featured major projects and vital city information through a traditional electronic annual report as well as a new video report that brought the McKinney story to life. The video offered a new platform to engage those who may not read a printed report. View the report.
“The competition is based not only on the strategy behind the communications and the quality of the product, but on measurable results,” said Good. “This national competition encompasses hundreds of cities nationwide so it is quite an honor to win.”
