Event spectators of all ages are invited to this year’s Friday night free event in downtown McKinney to enjoy cycling, friendly camaraderie and an opportunity to purchase food and drink. This year we are estimating 500 cyclists will participate in the event, and thousands of spectators will enjoy event amenities.
Bike the Bricks features several interval races, chasing a purse worth more than $25,000. Warmup starts at 2:30 p.m. and the races kick off at 3 p.m.
Hours: 3-11 p.m.
Deadline: Volunteer Registration Forms are due no later than May 19, 2017.
Check-in: Please check in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time at the Volunteer Check-in location. We will communicate the location of the Volunteer Check-in via email before the event.
Bad Weather: Bike the Bricks will go on as scheduled, rain or shine.
Event T-Shirt: You will be supplied with an event t-shirt, and will be required to wear it when volunteering.
Attire: Please wear comfortable attire; you will be doing a lot of walking.
Travel Light: Personal Items and valuables may not be left for safekeeping at volunteer check-in.
Cell Phone Usage: Please limit cell phone usage while volunteering.
Parking: Please park at the lot located at the former Collin County Courthouse at Tennessee and Davis Streets. Parking is Free. Parking Map

All participants, regardless of age, must sign a liability waiver and photo release: If you are less than 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver below.
I understand that I am spending the day as a volunteer at Bike the Bricks 2017 facilitated by McKinney Main Street. I understand that I am responsible for my behavior, and I will perform volunteer work that I feel comfortable doing. If I observe any unusual or unnecessary hazards / activity during my participation, I will bring such to the attention of McKinney Main Street as soon as possible. I agree to release McKinney Main Street, City of McKinney, its event workers, participating event organizations, sponsors, volunteers and their representatives or others from any and all claims that may arise as a result of any expenses, personal injury, loss or damages incurred by me during my participation in Bike the Bricks 2017. I also agree to indemnify McKinney Main Street from any and all claims that may arise from my conduct that results in expenses, personal injury, loss or damages incurred by anyone else during my participation in Bike the Bricks 2017.
I consent to and authorize the use or reproduction by McKinney Main Street, City of McKinney and any appointed agents authorized by them, of any and all photographs, video reproductions, motion pictures or other record taken this day, including without limitation pictures and sound of myself, alone or with others, for any reasonable purpose, without compensation to me.

This is to certify that the above-named parent or guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to my minor child’s involvement or participation in Bike the Bricks 2017 and agree to the terms and conditions as stated in the preceding waiver and release of liability statement.
In case of a medical or dental emergency, I understand that every effort will be made to contact me, at the telephone number listed on this form, after initiation of the emergency response system. However, if I cannot be reached, I hereby give permission to transport, evaluate and treat such medical or dental emergency at the nearest or appropriate facility. A copy of this permission form may be accepted as equivalent to the original form.
