Community Interaction Makes a Difference
Interacting with you as a resident of McKinney is one of the most important things we do. The more information you can access through Police Department bulletins, special events and other resources, the safer the choices you can make. The more information you can provide to us by staying aware, reporting a crime or spotting a suspect, the better we can protect you.

Your safety is the reason we’re here, so we provide real-time, accurate data and effective, open communication and transparency so you know what we are doing and why we’re doing it. One of the primary ways we do this is through this website.

The Police-to-Citizen System
The McKinney Police Department now proudly offers a new online interactive tool with our Police-to-Citizen (P2C) system. With the P2C system, you can view a crime activity bulletin for any date range, map incidents in your area, and file a commendation and view information about local sex offenders. This is another way we are striving to make it easy for the McKinney Police Department and McKinney citizens to work together to keep McKinney safe.

Let Us Know How We’re Doing
Our commitment to you is based on our core values: We strive to do what is right, to do the best we can and to treat you the way we would want to be treated. We aim to provide police services that are ethical, professional, competent and progressive and that inspire your trust. Let us know how we are doing.

You can contact us at 972-547-2700, or file a commendation or a complaint on this site. As always, if you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1 and we’ll be there for you.
