Impact Fee Setting for the 2019 Impact Fee Update
As part of the 2019 Impact Fee Update process, City Council has established / set roadway, water and wastewater impact fees. As mandated by Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, impact fees are required to be within the maximum assessable limits that will be established by the 2019 Roadway, Water and Wastewater Capital Improvement Plans.
As part of the update process, staff presented a 3-part information series on the 2019 Impact Fee Update process to the Capital Improvement Advisory Committee (CIAC) and City Council. These presentations included a look at what Impact Fees are, what they mean for McKinney in 2020 and what any new fees are anticipated to be.

CIAC Comments
The CIAC is required to provide comments regarding the updated Impact Fees. Staff presented the updated Capital Improvement Plans at the October 27, 2020 meeting. The minutes of of which serve as their comments.
City Council Approval
The new fees were approved at the December 1, 2020 City Council Public Hearing on the 2019 Impact Fee Update.
