City of McKinney Stormwater Management Program

The City of McKinney has developed a Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) in accordance with The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Texas Pollution Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) General Permit TX040000 (Small MS4 Permit) requirements. This permit for small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) was reissued by TCEQ on December 13, 2013. The public may view a copy of the City of McKinney SWMP online or at the Engineering Department, 221 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, Texas 75069.

Stormwater Management Program Report

An amended Stormwater Management Ordinance was passed by the City Council in 2014. The ordinances addresses issues such as protecting stream banks from erosion, containing sediment from construction activities, improving NRCS lakes and protecting structures from flooding
