Services are Free for Eligible Households

The Amy Young Barrier Removal Program is funded by the Housing Trust Fund through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA). This program provides grants up to $20,000 to low-to-moderate income persons with disabilities who need modifications to increase accessibility and eliminate hazardous conditions in their home.

  • You need accessibility in your home for your safety
  • You live inside McKinney's city limits
  • Your household meets the income limits (See table below)
