Digital Media Policies
To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too.
What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
How to Control Cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish - for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
If you do not want us to continue using your information we have previously collected via cookies, you may email the webmaster or call at 972-547-7513 and we will promptly delete your information from our system.
Photography and Video Recording
Photography or video recording is permitted at all City of McKinney facilities and events on city-owned property, except where posted otherwise. The City of McKinney reserves the right to require a person to leave the premises or cease taking photos or using a video device if city staff finds such behavior disruptive.
By their use of City of McKinney facilities, participants of programs and special events grant permission to the City of McKinney to take photos and videos of themselves and their children for publication in the program brochure, website and additional uses as the city deems necessary, unless the registrant or participant expressly files a written request as to the use of photos or videos of themselves and/or their children. All professional photography on city-owned property must be approved through the City of McKinney’s Communication and Marketing Department.
Hi! You’re probably here because we requested additional rights in sharing your photo across our channels. We love your picture, and we think our residents and visitors would too! Whenever possible, we also include your handle or byline. Here is an example of images that we’ve featured:
