State Highway 5 Corridor Plan

The S.H. 5 Corridor Context Sensitive Master Plan (also known as the S.H. 5 Corridor Master Plan) continues the vision of the Town Center Study by laying the groundwork for incremental change that will, over the long-term, transform the corridor into a thriving thoroughfare.

Regional Planning

Regional initiatives are aimed at assisting local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development.

By planning regionally, North Texas can strengthen both the individual and collective power of local governments, recognize regional opportunities, eliminate unnecessary duplication and make joint decisions. As such, the City of McKinney remains actively involved in regional planning initiatives throughout North Texas.
