Lower Insurance Rates

Beginning November 1, 2018, you may be eligible for a lower fire insurance rate for your home or business. The McKinney Fire Department has achieved an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Property Protection Classification (PPC) rating of 1, up from a 2, and that may mean savings for you.

To the Residents of Trinity Falls:

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your community, we are excited to be here!

We recently received a number of inquiries regarding the public protection classification following the opening of Fire Station #10. This classification is often used to help determine home insurance premiums. The determiner of the PPC is Insurance Services Office (ISO) and not the Fire Department. ISO was notified of the station opening and the revised listing will be published in July. Unfortunately, I cannot speak for ISO and provide confirmation of any change to the PPC until ISO does so.

Mr. Willie Scott with ISO asked me to pass along that anyone needing information sooner than July, 2020, may have their insurance service underwriter contact him at 800-444-4554 and select option #2. He will provide additional information as requested. I hope this helps and we appreciate your patience through this process.

With best regards,

Danny Kistner
