Byron Nelson Legacy

The Byron Nelson Tournament, established in 1968, celebrates the life and legacy of namesake Byron Nelson. Mr. Nelson, known for his golf achievements, was also a humanitarian dedicated to his community. He donated time, talents, and funds to assist those in need.

The McKinney Public Library will have a collection of memorabilia celebrating Mr. Nelson's life on display during the Family Golf Day.

Little ExplorersDrop in for a pre-K STEAM program! We will use different materials and slopes to explore what happens when you change different features of a golf course. (Ages 3 - 5)

Mad ScienceStop in for a sampling of STEAM programming! In this activity we will use different materials to build a tower strong enough to hold the weight of a golf ball, while also making it as tall as possible. (Grades K - 5)
