We are excited to announce that the City of McKinney will commence with a three-month renovation of Oak Hollow Golf Course this summer to enhance the aesthetics and playability of this beautiful public course and offer topline amenities for our patrons.
The planned improvements are intended to address the course’s aging infrastructure. First and foremost, the 25-year-old greens will be reshaped and expanded upwards of 30 percent larger in some areas. Beyond the greens, improvements will be made to the collars, tee boxes, restroom facilities, and other areas of the property, including cosmetic upgrades to the clubhouse. The new putting surface will be on par with anything found at other premier courses in the region.
This is an exciting time for Oak Hollow Golf Course, though this transformation doesn’t come with some growing pains. While the golf course will close on May 30 to begin work, the driving range, practice greens, and clubhouse will remain open throughout the project, and instructional programs will continue throughout the summer. Renovations are expected to be completed around Sept. 1, when the course will reopen for play.
