Roy & Helen Hall Library Reimagining

Background

After 21 years of operation, the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library has outgrown the original design and functions of the building, requiring renovation to accommodate more meeting and study spaces, more event and programming space, and improved access to technology.

The goal of this renovation is to significantly improve the library's physical spaces and services within the current building footprint to better meet our community’s needs through the next 10 to 20 years.

The McKinney Public Library System has hired 720 Design to conduct an initial space planning assessment and provide high-level estimated costs. The first part of this process is to gather public input via survey.

Public Input Survey

September 15 - October 6

The McKinney Public Library System is conducting a survey open to the general public to better inform how current library spaces are being utilized. We want to hear from you! What spaces and amenities are important to you? What types of activities would you prioritize? What types of spaces would encourage you to visit the library more?

Information collected from the survey will be used to inform design options and priorities. If you have questions, please contact the library by phone 972-547-7323 or email [email protected].
