December Survey Update

In the next few weeks, the project team will be busy wrapping up their field work within the Historic Overlay District and the Historically Significant Area. They will be back in the field throughout the month of December to complete the field survey portion of the project . Following completion of the survey,  the project team will prepare a Historic Resources Survey Report that provides the survey results, evaluates resources and potential districts for eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, and makes preservation recommendations for consideration by the City of McKinney. The report will be available for public review and input in early 2024.

The project team participated in both the McKinney Oktoberfest on September 22 and the Legacy Neighborhoods Fall Festival on October 7 to promote the project and encourage feedback from the community and stakeholders.
