McKINNEY, Texas (May 20, 2020) – McKinney residents and stakeholders are invited to provide feedback as City of McKinney staff prepare the city’s budget for Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21), which runs Oct. 1, 2020 – Sept. 30, 2021.

Public feedback on the budget can be provided through the Virtual Town Hall online platform where residents will rank McKinney’s budget priorities. The online exercise launched Tuesday, May 19. Residents may also leave comments as a follow-up to the exercise. Feedback provided will be considered during the current FY21 budget discussions as well as in future fiscal years.

The City Council will then consider the recommended budget and the public will have additional opportunities to offer input during two public budget hearings in September. The final budget is scheduled for adoption on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
