McKinney to partner with Collin County on COVID-19 vaccine waitlist

McKINNEY, Texas (Jan. 5, 2021) – The City of McKinney will be partnering with Collin County to use their newly created COVID-19 vaccine waitlist for residents of McKinney. The county will provide the city information for residents on the waitlist when vaccines become available and appointments can be scheduled.

The waitlist is intended for Collin County residents who meet Texas Department of State Health Services Phase 1A and 1B categories for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Due to the limited volume of vaccines available to McKinney and Collin County, individuals are encouraged to contact their primary health care provider and their local pharmacy to inquire about additional vaccine availability. Most private health care providers like pharmacies, hospitals, physicians are maintaining their own vaccine wait lists separate from the Collin County Health Care Services waitlist.
