Is alcohol allowed at city parks?

Per city ordinance, alcohol is permitted at certain Parks and Recreation locations. For private events, the organizer must have an alcohol / special event permit and the alcohol has to be served by someone with a TABC license. Acceptable locations include:

  • Senior Recreation Center
  • Old Settler’s Recreation Center
  • Oak Hollow Golf Course
  • Recreation Center at Towne Lake
  • Towne Lake Recreation Area
  • Gabe Nesbitt Community Park (Apex Centre and The Courts included)
  • Bonnie Wenk Park
  • McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch
  • Al Ruschhaupt Soccer Complex
  • Old Settler’s Park
  • Finch Park
  • Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park
