  1. Requests for new service are completed Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., excluding city holidays. You can order service online with notice of 24 hours or more. If service is needed on the same day, you must complete an application in our office before 12 noon on your desired service start date.

    Please read the information below about starting your new water account.

    There is a service fee of $30 to begin residential service.

    New residential customers must also pay a service deposit of $40. This service deposit will be applied to the final bill at the close of the account. The service fee and deposit can be billed on your first bill at your request.

    It can take up to six weeks to receive your first bill. If you do not receive a bill, please contact the office at 972-547-7550. You are responsible for payment of the service.

    Water connections are scheduled for completion between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you need to change your date of service you must contact us 24 hours before the original scheduled date.

    The City of McKinney bills every month. Please pay close attention to the due date as it changes based on the bill date. Please note that a 10% late fee will be assessed if payments are made after 5 p.m. on the due date.
